Walking, commuting and an evening event ask different things of a shoe. Identify fastening, sole profile, heel height and the width you need before searching by appearance. A narrow toe shape can feel different even when the nominal size matches.
Read the model-specific chart
Compare your foot length in the stated unit with the seller’s instructions. Do not treat outsole length as usable internal space. Ask whether measurements refer to the foot or the insole, and whether the width can be confirmed for your chosen size.
Inspect a pair as a pair
Where photographs are available, compare both shoes: shape, toe alignment, heel position and visible glue or stitching. Photos can show visible discrepancies, but they cannot establish long-term comfort or durability. Record which exact pair or sample the images depict.
